Terms of use
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms cover the Kaldarshi app and this website. By using either, you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
Using Kaldarshi
Kaldarshi is free to use for your own, personal purposes. You do not need an account. How the app handles your information is described in the privacy policy.
About the dates
Tithi, nakshatra, sunrise, festival and vrat dates are calculated for the place you choose. They are made with care, but they are for guidance. They can differ by a minute or two from a printed calendar, and where traditions or panels of scholars decide a date differently, Kaldarshi follows one method and may not match yours. For a religious observance that matters to you, please confirm the date with your family priest or your own tradition.
Ownership and reuse
The app, this website, their text, design, brand and the calculated calendar data belong to their maker. You may read, use and share single pages and single days, for example by sending a share card. Please do not copy the site or the app's data in bulk, republish it, or build a competing service from it without asking first.
Some parts are open-source libraries and fonts, used under their own licences. They are listed with their notices on the licences page.
Changes and availability
Kaldarshi is made by one person. Features, dates and these terms can change, and the app or the site might be unavailable at times. When these terms change, the date above changes with them.
Liability
Kaldarshi is provided as it is, without a promise that it is free of mistakes or always available. As far as the law allows, its maker is not responsible for loss that comes from relying on it.
